Therapeutical action: Cefepime is a fourth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Cefepime is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with greater activity against both than third-generation antibiotics.
Indications: Treatment of pneumonia (moderate to severe). Treatment of febrile neutropenic patients. Treatment of uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis). Treatment of complicated intra-abdominal infections.
